Cosentino Countertops

Luxury Cosentino Countertops for Contemporary Living

The Consentino name has become well-known in the industry for the family’s commitment to innovating solutions that offer design and value, and inspire the life of many people. A family-owned, global corporation headquartered in Almeria, Spain, The Cosentino Group© manufacturers leading brands of luxury surfaces,  such as Silestone®, Dekton® and Sensa by Cosentino® – all technologically advanced surfaces for creating spaces and unique designs for residential and commercial use.

Academy Marble & Granite is proud to offer you the Cosentino family of luxury countertops:

Silestone Natural Quartz

Like our fine Cambria countertops, Silestone also contains 93% natural quartz. This makes it an exceptionally hard and damage resistant countertop. Silestone quartz countertops were the first non-porous, engineered stone food prep counters on the market with their anti-bacterial, hygienic surfaces. Silestone is a perfect countertop choice for kitchens and bathrooms spaces thanks to its wide range of colors and finishes, resistance and flexibility.

Dekton Ultra Compact Surface

This innovative material is relatively new and is quickly growing in popularity among home builders, homeowners and designers. Dekton is an ultra-compact surface that’s a result of combining the raw materials used in the production of glass, latest-generation porcelain tiles and quartz surfaces. The product’s excellent mechanical properties offer unlimited design and manufacturing possibilities, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, floors, walls and worktop surfaces.

Manufactured by a proprietary sintering process, Dekton offers many advantages to builders and homeowners, including:

  • Highly scratch, scuff and stain resistant
  • Non-porous, hygienic surfaces
  • Zero absorption of water and other fluids
  • Highly fire and heat resistant
  • Tolerates freezing and thawing very well

Sensa Protected Granite

Sensa is Cosentino’s specially treated, engineered granite with exclusive stain-resistant protection. The treatment involves a chemical bonding process which gives the granite an invisible protective barrier that prevents the absorption of any liquids. While protecting the stone against liquid absorption and staining, this treatment does not affect the color or finish integrity in any way, maintaining the beauty and grace of its rich color and texture palette. Unlike natural granite surfaces, Sensa protected granite is maintenance-free, highly stain resistant, and NSF certified making it suitable for contact with food. Sensa surfaces are also Greenguard certified which means they comply with the indoor air quality standards of the American Environmental Institute.

Scalea Natural Stone

Scalea is the comprehensive registered trade name the company has given to its entire line of natural stone based products. While the name ‘Scalea’ actually comes from the Italian town where the family originated, for the company it’s the brand given to their various natural stone offerings, including domestic and imported marbles, slate, basalt, Brazilian granite and travertine.

Rather than thinking of Scalea as a product, think of it as more of a process and a philosophy. In the company’s own words ― “It is a commitment to innovation and creativity, to the most advanced designs and for the improvement of features.”  See portfolio.

Prexury Semi-precious Surfaces

Prexury is a unique brand by Cosentino that is made from semi-precious stones and other unique natural materials, such as fossils, jasper and petrified wood. The result is an exceptional assortment of naturally occurring elements that make extraordinarily elegant and unique countertops. While your Prexury countertop will set you apart from the pack, its hardness and durability make it a top choice for highly trafficked worktop surfaces.

ECO Recycled Surfaces

An ecological alternative to other surfaces, ECO is Consentino’s newest product line centered on sustainability and “green” management and manufacturing practices. To start, 75% of the materials used in the ECO formula are recyclables including mirrors, glass, porcelain, earthenware and vitrified ash. And, 94% of the water used in manufacturing ECO is reused.

If you’re looking for a beautiful surface material that embraces sustainability, design and quality, ECO is a smart choice for your residential or commercial project. See portfolio.
